The Artist

Luca
Pascarella

Luca Pascarella was born in Feltre, Veneto (Italy). Driven by a sudden inspiration he starts painting his first abstract motives in 2003. With the time he realizes that the art of painting enables him to analyze and deepen his gaze in the work as an observer.

Four years later he discovers a much more concrete style, which mostly consists in female portraits. Pascarella’s interpretation of the woman’s beauty is based on asymmetry and malformation. “Imperfection” becomes a defect which attracts his attention.

Pascarella’s painting motives are various: memories, people, situations, objects. His work does not aim at reflecting or catching any logic but at creating his own gaze on the seeked motive instead.
